Big Data, Algorithms and digital advertising; the modern world is filled to the brim with Statistics, even if you can’t see it with your bare eye.
You don’t act based on your gut feeling but understand that important decisions must be supported by data and facts. In short, you will think the Six Sigma way!
for “Basic Statistics for Six Sigma“
Finally, I have made it. Good questions which are changing with each attempt. It would be nice though to have some hints after the failer as it would help in the revision part.
Nice and clear overview of the main statistical concepts that are in GB project.
Final exam is a bit too obvious for certain questions (like the right option is thoroughly written and the rest is just added to provide vision of multiple choices).
DPMO for discrete data is an important metric, too, I missed it in the course.
Hi, nice course, however some misprints were found during the course.
Again, a good basic overview
Very informative course, easy to understand but would have benefitted from the speaker talking a bit slower!
I would prefer more calculation questions rather than more theory questions.
Course is clear and progresses logically for those not familiar with statistical techniques
Excellent content and broken down really well
Clear and easy to follow
Nice short modules. Easy to follow and concentrate.
great training, very good and simple examples. I haven’t been confronted with this theory for like 20 years, but it all came back quite easily.
it was a great course
The videos are EXCELLENT, but the questions during the individual modules are very tricky. This does not imply that we do not understand, but the play on words is confusing. The end exam was good, but I had expected at least some more in-depth questions. THANK YOU for helping me learn ..
Perfect exam for this course
Great course, really helped me improve my understanding of the terminology of statistics – still so much to learn!
Very effective and efficient training method.
Huge thank you for the course! I learned a lot.
As an improvement, I would suggest to add more definitions and examples as some of them are missing.
The course is interesting and easy to follow.
A lot of useful information for such a short course. Information is very easy to understand. The scripts of the lessons look to be carefully developed based on the huge experience of the authors in training LSS courses.
Great course. Could break it down into bigger groups. It gets difficult quickly.
Really interesting and good basic course. Easy to understand and great video explanations – thanks!
Very informative – will have to re-visit again to allow the ideas to stick.
Nice initial introduction for beginners. Course is logically laid out and the video supplemented by the text and an exam to finish each module reinforces the learning well.
Good choice between the reading and the videos. Some questions pretty wordy but achievable
Good knowledge included and good examples but numerous spelling mistakes and poor sentences which don’t make sense on most if not all pages, make the product look poor overall.
Excellent tuition and demanding questions
great little course that gives you a good understanding of statistics
Initially unclear about what was right or wrong on the exam review.
The training and assessing is good.
The course was well structured.
Excellent materials, great tutor!
The lessons and examples are very clear and helpful.
Really enjoyed this course
informative videos and useful to have written in text below also as it caters to different learning styles.
Good content and well described

After successful completion of this online course, you will have a good understanding of the basic statistical concepts that are used in Six Sigma projects at the level of Green Belt. You will be able to calculate statistics such as standard deviations, modi and sigma levels, and interpret data in histograms, boxplots and other such graphical instruments.
These days, everything revolves around data, with which we can express quality. We can measure, predict and test quality with astounding accuracy, and see this all around us. Big data, complex algorithms, advertising and process improvement. And at the core of it all, is the science of statistics.
The process improvement methodology of Six Sigma, for example, uses statistics to assess the operational quality of processes and determine how to best improve them. Whether you are a Green Belt or Black Belt, you will be faced with statistics all the time.
In this online course we will take you through all the basic statistics that you will need to achieve your formal Lean Six Sigma certification.
